This paper aims to contextualize Black women authors’ work inside the Speculative Fiction genre and argue on how Tomi Adeyemi’s Legacy of Orïsha (2018, 2019) is a liberatory piece art concerning girls’ representation. Our scope considered Ebony Elizabeth Thomas' 2019a, 2019b) affirmation that girls in imaginative settings are limited stereotyped as much any other literary genre. Correspondingly, we based Dark Fantastic theory established by Thomas, especially focusing stage emancipation where defend books grounded feminist storytelling. Therefore, first, address ways which qualities innocence, goodness, beauty, intimacy relationships racialized White our society — consequently, having effects media literature for masses. Later, analyze girl characters from Orïsha, mainly protagonists Zélie Amari —, subvert mass limitations since they portrayed previously discussed alongside with their role heroines. Finally, assert can contribute helping us rethink collective imagination regarding girlhood Fiction.
